Job summary

Bitwise is seeking an experienced software engineer with a strong AI/NLP focus to join our Maryland team. You will build and integrate agentic platforms, consolidating data sources and external APIs to power autonomous workflows.

You will collaborate with cyber analysts and stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions and contribute ideas to improve systems and processes. A TS//SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering with AI/NLP focus.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 4+ years equivalent experience.
• Hands-on production apps serving thousands of users.
• Understanding of AI concepts: prompts, context, tool calls.
• Experience with streaming platforms and modern messaging.
• Experience with AI coding assistants for code generation and debugging.
• Proficient with Git and Atlassian tools.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Background in cybersecurity or SOC workflows.
• Familiarity with retrieval systems and vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop agentic integrations with Python using multiple AI models and data sources.
• Build agentic workflows in modern frameworks and work with stakeholders.
• Maintain and troubleshoot a production-grade agentic platform.
