Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Data Science Analyst – Agentic AI Developer to design and deploy AI-powered solutions across the organization. You’ll work across data science, ML, software engineering, and AI agent development to solve energy-industry challenges.

The role covers the full AI lifecycle—from data prep and model training to deployment, monitoring, and governance, with a collaborative, fast-paced team environment in Houston or Princeton.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field or expected by Dec 2026.
• Zero or more years of experience in data science or advanced analytics.

Responsibilities

• Preprocess large datasets for analytics and AI applications.
• Design and deploy ML models for forecasting and anomaly detection.
• Build AI apps using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, APIs, and workflows.
• Prototype, test, and deploy scalable AI solutions.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate AI into workflows.
• Analyze data trends and communicate insights via dashboards.
• Monitor and improve AI models for accuracy and governance.
