Job summary

Ethereum Technologies in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Agentic AI Data Engineer to build internal GenAI tools and scalable data pipelines for sensitive data flows. You will own labeling infrastructure and ensure secure, authenticated access across platforms.

You will migrate observability stacks to OpenTelemetry and work with product/engineering to ship features that deliver measurable efficiency gains across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software/ML infrastructure engineering.
• Experience building internal GenAI tools and data pipelines.
• Experience with identity and auth checks in server/tool design.
• Leadership in data/ML tooling migrations and on-call support.
• Experience with observability and dashboards as code.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack internal GenAI tools (Python, FastAPI, Streamlit) for non-engineering teams to run LLM analyses over sensitive data.
• Design and maintain MCP servers/tools with strict identity and auth checks.
• Own and evolve labeling platform infra (FastAPI, Celery, Redis, Labelbox) including migrations and on-call support.
• Migrate observability stacks to OpenTelemetry and build dashboards as code.
• Build and maintain data/ML pipelines (Airflow, Spark, Hive, Trino) for multiple business units.
• Partner with product and engineering to ship features with measurable gains.

Job Description

• 5+ years in software/ML infrastructure engineering
• Build full-stack internal GenAI tools (Python, FastAPI, Streamlit) that let non-engineering teams run LLM analysis over sensitive data, including scalable PII-masking pipelines.
• Design and maintain MCP servers/tools enabling teams to run workflows directly from AI chat clients, with strict identity and auth checks.
• Own and evolve labeling platform infrastructure (FastAPI, Celery, Redis, Labelbox), including large-scale data migrations, on-call support, and data-loss recovery.
• Migrate observability stacks from legacy tools to OpenTelemetry, building dashboards and ing as code.
• Build and maintain data/ML pipelines (Airflow, Spark, Hive, Trino) supporting multiple business units.
• Partner with product and engineering leads to turn ambiguous problems into shipped features with measurable efficiency gains.
