Job summary

New York Life Insurance Co. is seeking a Service Representative in our Field Service Team to support agents and management in onboarding new agents and overseeing contracting so they can begin selling life insurance.

You’ll ensure a smooth onboarding process, turning candidates into ready-to-sell agents and keeping operations running for our Partners. The role requires strong relationship-building, organization, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving to maintain customer trust

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or office administration.
• Clear, professional communication (phone and email).
• Meticulous data entry and document review; audit-ready attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong organization and time management; able to prioritize and meet SLAs.
• Discretion with sensitive information; compliance-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in the contracting system to advance contracts along in the process.
• Track background-check and fingerprint results; follow up with Partners; escalates issues as needed.
• Review onboarding paperwork for completeness and accuracy; resolve data or documentation gaps.
• Communicate with Partners to provide candidate status updates and answer questions.
• Process forms to ensure agents are integrated in our systems correctly.
• Assist with in-person administrative responsibilities to provide the support required of the Managing Partner within the General Office such as phone assistance, calendaring and executive correspondence.
