Overview

This role acts as a liaison between the company and agents, managing relationships with agents, regional underwriting, and corporate departments. Responsibilities include assessing agent strengths, promoting profitable growth, ensuring familiarity with company initiatives, and conducting training and mentoring. All duties must comply with legal and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a profitable agency force familiar with company initiatives and products.
  • Make consistent underwriting decisions, adhere to pricing philosophies, and promote ease of doing business.
  • Monitor agency results, follow up on growth, profitability, and compliance.
  • Build professional relationships with agents and internal teams, providing training and support.
  • Maintain open communication and encourage system usage.
  • Perform inspections, recommend risk improvements, and follow up accordingly.
  • Stay informed about industry changes and competitor strategies.
  • Audit agents' book of business and provide quality feedback.
  • Meet regularly with internal representatives to discuss agency performance and growth opportunities.
  • Travel within territory as needed, approximately 40-50% of the time.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Requirements
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record.
  • Seasoned AMS with relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High achiever with strong organizational skills, self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and capable of working remotely.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and internal software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
Education and Experience
  • College degree preferred, with 6+ years in underwriting, marketing, or field underwriting.
  • Preferred experience includes 4 years in Agency Management and 3 years in Claims or Loss Control.
Compensation and Benefits

Offers a competitive salary, incentive plans, and comprehensive benefits including health care, retirement plans, stock purchase, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off. Salary ranges from USD $84,000 to $146,000 annually, based on location and experience.
