Job summary

The Arc Oneida-Lewis invites applications for an Agency Driver. This role provides transportation for people we support from home to work locations and back, requiring a clean driving record and good knowledge of Utica and Oneida County.

You will support safe transfers and follow GPS directions in coordination with the Facilities Management team. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff, paid training, and flexible scheduling options to accommodate part-time and full-time

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid, clean Class D license with 3–5 years driving experience.
• Good driving record and knowledge of the Utica area.

Responsibilities

• Assist the people we support into and out of the agency vehicle to ensure safety.
• Follow directions or use GPS to reach destinations.
• Operate vehicles safely and observe speed limits at all times.
• Comply with NYS driving regulations and agency policies.
• Report accidents or infractions to the Facilities Management Director.
• Maintain vehicle interior and complete required records.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is seeking to add an Agency Driver to our Facilities Management Department! In this role you will provide transportation to people we support from home to various work locations and return. This position requires good driving skills, a good driving record and knowledge of the Utica area as well as surrounding areas in Oneida County.

Responsibilities:

• Required to assist the people we support into and out of an agency vehicle to ensure their safety.
• Must have the ability to follow directions or the ability to successfully utilize a GPS system.
• Safe and courteous operation of assigned vehicles including maintaining a safe speed at all times according to road conditions. One must observe speed limits at all times
• Observe all NYS driving regulations and laws as well as agency policies and procedures
• Report all accidents, no matter how small to the Director of Facilities Management
• Report all traffic infractions or citations immediately to the Director of Facilities Management whether in agency vehicle or personal vehicle
• Maintain Vehicle interior as far as disinfecting, cleaning and neatness
• Perform recordkeeping including daily attendance and other reports as required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid, Clean, Class D license with 3 to 5 years driving experience
• Adequate manual dexterity
