Ag Service Technician- Diesel/Heavy Equipment

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician specializing in the maintenance and repair of tractors and production agriculture equipment. You will be paid a competitive wage with the opportunity to earn a monthly bonus based on your performance!

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a strong background in diagnosing and servicing diesel-powered farm machinery, including combines, planters, and John Deere equipment. This role requires expertise in agriculture equipment repair and diesel engine maintenance, with the ability to work independently as a Field Service Technician. Candidates with experience in heavy equipment diesel repair and farm equipment maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.

Major Functions and Scope:

1. Performs basic agriculture equipment/outdoor power equipment or commercial worksite equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed.
2. Performs basic agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment/commercial worksite products repairs as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
3. Participates in all job-related training and development. Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work orders.
4. Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and other products sold or serviced by TriGreen.
5. Maintains safe and proper operation of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
6. Completes any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision:

1. Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment/commercial worksite equipment.
2. Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
3. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
4. High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associates degree from Ag Tech program preferred.
5. Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays; familiar with John Deere and other products sold and serviced by TriGreen.
6. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems related to agriculture equipment/outdoor power equipment.
7. Must have analytical, business planning, problem-solving, communication, motivational, and interpersonal people skills.
8. Physical environment-ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods, and sitting.
