Ag Service Technician – Diesel/Heavy Equipment

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician specializing in the maintenance and repair of tractors and production agriculture equipment. You will be paid a competitive wage with the opportunity to earn a monthly bonus based on your performance!

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with a strong background in diagnosing and servicing diesel-powered farm machinery, including combines, planters, and John Deere equipment. This role requires expertise in agriculture equipment repair and diesel engine maintenance, with the ability to work independently as a Field Service Technician. Candidates with experience in heavy equipment diesel repair and farm equipment maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.

Major Functions and Scope:

1. Perform diagnostics and repairs on agriculture, outdoor power, or commercial worksite equipment as needed.
2. Complete repairs requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
3. Participate in all job-related training and development.
4. Prepare reports and forms related to work orders.
5. Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and other products sold or serviced by TriGreen.
6. Ensure safe and proper operation of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies, and Supervision:

1. Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in repairing outdoor power, agricultural, and commercial equipment.
2. Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
3. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
4. High School Diploma or GED; an Associate's degree from an Ag Tech program is preferred.
5. Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
6. Familiarity with John Deere and other products sold and serviced by TriGreen.
7. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems related to agriculture and outdoor power equipment.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
9. Physical ability to lift at least 75 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods, and sitting.
