Job summary

Innovative Ag Services is offering a 2027 Facility Operations Summer Internship Program in Iowa. IAS is a cooperative serving thousands of members, with 30 locations across IA/WI, and a focus on hands-on learning in operations, agronomy, grain handling, and safety.

As an intern, you will gain experience across blending, dispatching, warehouse controls, and precision ag tech while developing leadership-ready skills for a career in agriculture.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Class A or B CDL with hazmat endorsement or minimally a seasonal CDL; MVR must pass IAS insurance guidelines.
• Strong people skills, good phone etiquette, follows directions, meets deadlines.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and outdoor/agriculture environment exposure.

Responsibilities

• Operate crop nutrient and crop protection mixing facilities using work orders and field maps.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of location equipment and facilities.
• Distribute farm supplies from IAS facilities and learn dispatching techniques.
• Maintain warehouse orderliness, housekeeping and inventory control.
• Assist with custom application practices and precision ag technology installations.
• Support crop scouting with guidance from a crop advisor.
• Assist in marketing Innovative Advanced Solutions with the Agronomy Advisor Team.
• Participate in grain facility operations including receiving, blending and load out.
• Weigh, probe samples and grade grain according to industry standards.
• Learn about grain origination, settlement and merchandising.
• Gain counter sales and store operations experience.
• Participate in company safety training and adhere to safety policies.
