The position of an Ag Office Administrator is of great importance to Valley Wide Cooperative. The individual in this role is responsible for maintaining accurate and systematic records of all financial transactions and ensuring operational performance aligns with company standards. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Job Summary

These are the core responsibilities of the position, which must be performed competently:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Valley Wide’s services, customer account and billing processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle a high volume of incoming calls, ensuring quality, efficiency, and accuracy in customer service.
  • Greet visitors and customers, providing assistance as needed.
  • Record customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain daily financial reports, prepare and post customer invoices, and manage inventory transactions.
  • Review, code, and process accounts payable invoices, maintaining related reports.
  • Address customer questions and concerns promptly and compassionately.
  • Support customer retention efforts by ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Accurately record all customer interactions in the system.
  • Answer phones, relay messages, and maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
  • Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency with computer programs.
  • Strong communication skills for professional interaction with managers, staff, customers, vendors, and the public.
  • Ability to make decisions and act in accordance with company policies.
