Job summary

Butler Machinery is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agricultural equipment. You will troubleshoot diesel systems, work independently or with a team, and commit to ongoing training to stay current with industry updates.

Overtime opportunities exist based on workload, and you’ll be able to travel to other Butler locations as needed. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive hourly pay scale ranging from $32.73 to

  • Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory.
  • Must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry.
  • Overtime may be available when workload dictates (over 8 hours/day paid at 1.5x).
  • Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work independently and as part of a high performing team.
  • Commit to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards.
  • Must lift up to 70 lbs.
  • May travel to other Butler locations and customer sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Full-Time Technician Pay Scale: $32.73/hr-$53.03/hr, DOE.

Responsibilities Of a Diesel Service Technician
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry. For example: Hydraulics, electrical, power trains, etc.
  • Opportunity for overtime as workload dictates (anything over 8 hours a day is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate)
  • Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work independently and as part of a high performing team
  • Committed to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards and product updates
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Opportunity to travel to other Butler and customer locations
