Need 3 full-time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Hastings, MN, from 03/03/2025 to 11/15/2025. Work schedule: 48 hrs./week, Mon. - Sat., 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime and holiday work are mandatory. All hours over 48 per week are paid at 1.5x the regular rate. Effective Jan 1, 2024, employees earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours per year, provided they work at least 80 hours annually.

Job Description

• Operate field equipment such as self-propelled sprayers to spread fertilizer.
• Prepare fields by pumping water, hydrous ammonia, and other chemicals from storage tanks into nurse tanks, calculating blends, batching, and pumping into storage tanks on vehicles.
• Drive trucks to haul tools, crops, supplies, or farm workers.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 months of experience required.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain a Class D driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures; frequent stooping.
• Post-hire drug testing at employer’s expense; illicit drug use may lead to termination.
• No minimum education required.

Employer Assurances

• Work guaranteed for 3/4 of the contract period starting from arrival at the work site.
• Free housing provided if beyond normal commuting distance.
• Inbound transportation and subsistence paid upon 50% completion of the contract for eligible workers.
• Daily subsistence at least $15.88, up to $59.00 with receipts.
• Work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge.
