Job Details

Need 2 full-time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in East Grand Forks, MN, from 04/01/2025 to 08/31/2025. Work hours are 40 hrs./week, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. In MN, hours over 48 per week are paid at time and a half. Starting Jan 1, 2024, employees earn paid sick and safe time at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours per year, with a minimum of 80 hours worked annually.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and perform duties related to receiving, planting, and harvesting potato seed.
  2. Operate potato seed handling equipment such as pilers, forklifts, bobcats, seed treatment, and cutting machines.
  3. Sort, grade, and handle potatoes manually and with equipment, ensuring quality and proper storage.
  4. Apply seed treatments and notify supervisors of quality issues.
  5. Maintain and clean storage facilities and equipment.
  6. Perform basic farm maintenance and safety procedures.
  7. Participate in safety and rights training.
Job Requirements
  • Experience with potatoes and operating farm machinery like forklifts and bobcats.
  • Physical ability for repetitive movements, walking, standing, and bending.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and possibly longer hours, including weekends and holidays.
Additional Information

Employer guarantees work for 3/4 of the contract period, provides free housing if needed, and covers transportation and subsistence costs upon contract completion. Tools are provided free of charge.
