AmeriCorps AgCorps in Montana seeks members for education-focused service in K-12 schools and nonprofits emphasizing agricultural education.

Members implement local food promos, create outreach materials, coordinate events, monitor grants, and support volunteers. Education award and health coverage are provided, with a full-time schedule and a 01/11/2027 - 11/19/2027 term.

Position requires some college, ability to lift 50 lbs, and valid driver\'s license; training and evaluation are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak in public settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of multiple computer applications.
• Valid driver\'s license.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Interest in plants, invasive species, bees, agritourism.
• Attendance to mandatory trainings and participation in evaluation and reporting is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Implement local food promotional projects
• Collaborate with partners to review and update shared resources
• Create educational and outreach materials
• Conduct monitoring for grants
• Conduct trainings and events on mapping systems
• Create story and project maps for noxious weeds
• Assist with scheduling, logistics, & outreach needs
• Potential conference support
• Work collaboratively with botanists to develop and refine the position, roles, and processes
• Conduct volunteer outreach and manage volunteer data
