Job summary

UIC Arctic Response Services, LLC seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) at NSB Kings Bay, GA. The role involves maintenance and repair on armored and support vehicles per manufacturer specs, with emphasis on diesel engines and electronic systems.

The candidate should have at least two years in a vehicle service facility, be able to weld, and possess wiring/electronics experience. US citizenship and background check are required for base access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified to perform maintenance on AFVs used at SUBASE Kings Bay.
• At least two years of experience in a vehicle service facility with wiring, electronics, and mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on AFVs per manufacturer specs.
• Diagnostics of diesel engines and electronic equipment.
• Replace worn parts and overhaul major assemblies; adjust valves and transmissions.
• Repair fuel systems, lighting, and ignition systems.
• Direct duties may include supply/logistics or parts ordering.
