Afterschool Youth Soccer Coach - Entertain young children while playing soccer and being active!

The Position:

We are looking to hire an energetic and fun-loving Soccer Coach who will lead children in grades K-5 in fun and educational soccer activities. Our coaches are energetic, upbeat, positive, and love to entertain young kids. The Soccer Coach plays a crucial role in creating a positive and joyful soccer experience, fostering a love for sports, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth in a supportive environment.

New coaches can work 3-10 classes a week (pending availability) and can earn from $20 per hour up to $40 per hour. Most classes are held after school hours, with availability on:

• Monday to Friday: 3:00pm-6:30pm
• Saturday: As needed

The Soccer Season runs from August.

Responsibilities:

1. Player Development: Implement engaging, age-appropriate training focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Foster a positive atmosphere where every player feels valued.
2. Game Management: Lead team participation in league matches, ensuring a fair, positive, and fun experience. Emphasize effort, improvement, and enjoyment over strict competition.
3. Communication: Maintain open, clear communication with players, parents, and league organizers. Provide regular updates on progress and activities.
4. Character Building: Instill values such as respect, responsibility, and perseverance. Act as a positive role model, promoting good sportsmanship on and off the field.
5. Skill Assessments: Conduct periodic assessments to identify strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring coaching strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

• Passion for working with young children
• Energetic, reliable, patient, enthusiastic, self-motivated
• Ability to work independently
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check
• Reliable transportation
• Enjoyment in coaching and having fun!

Other Requirements:

• Coaching licenses such as US Soccer 4v4 or 7v7 (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in youth coaching preferred
