Job summary

Hidaya Academy of Champaign-Urbana is seeking a responsible Afterschool Program Teacher/Staff member to supervise and engage elementary-aged students from dismissal to pickup, creating a fun, safe, and structured environment.

You will help with homework, Qur'an revision, prayers, and enrichment stations; follow a daily schedule from 3:15 snack to 5:30 activities; coordinate with staff and parents via WhatsApp.

Qualifications

• Reliable, responsible, and consistently punctual.
• Previous experience with elementary-age children preferred.
• Comfortable assisting with Qur'an revision and leading prayer.
• Patient, nurturing, and able to manage multiple activity stations.
• Good communication with children, parents, and administration (including via WhatsApp).
• Able to pass a background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise elementary students in a safe, welcoming environment from daily setup through wrap-up.
• Follow the daily schedule (snack, restrooms, quiet reading/homework, Qur'an revision, prayer, activity stations).
• Support Qur'an revision with students individually or in small groups.
• Facilitate and accompany students in Asr and/or Maghrib prayer.
• Assist with homework and quiet reading time for younger students.
• Plan and lead daily stations including crafts, games, and outdoor play.
