Count Your Blessings Preschool is seeking a caring Afterschool Teacher to supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, structured environment after the school day. You will help with homework, lead enrichment activities, and maintain routines aligned with our mission.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience with children, strong communication and teamwork skills, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to follow licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education or child development preferred.
• Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, afterschool, or educational setting preferred.
• Ability to manage a group of children with patience, consistency, and positive guidance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must meet all state childcare licensing requirements, including background checks.

Position Overview

Count Your Blessings Preschool is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Afterschool Teacher to join our team. This position supports school-age children during afterschool hours by providing a safe, engaging, and structured environment that promotes learning, creativity, and positive social development.

The Afterschool Teacher plays a key role in guiding children through transitions from the school day, supporting homework time, leading enrichment activities, and maintaining a nurturing atmosphere aligned with our mission and values.

Schedule

• Part-time position


• Typical hours: Monday–Friday, afternoon hours (exact schedule may vary)


• Year-round program following the preschool calendar

Key Responsibilities
