Job summary

Discovery Point Lutz is seeking an enthusiastic After-School Teacher to join our team in Lutz, FL. The role focuses on supervising school-age children, creating a safe and engaging environment, and leading activities after the school day.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates well with families, and collaborates with a supportive leadership team. Part-time hours, with additional shifts during breaks and summer programs, are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with school-age children preferred
• Childcare, teaching, camp, tutoring, or youth-program experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be dependable, responsible, and energetic
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Must enjoy working with children and have a positive attitude
• Must meet Florida childcare employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day
• Follow all center policies, safety procedures, and state childcare regulations

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with school-age children and wants to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and build friendships after their school day.

Schedule

Part-time, after-school hours Monday–Friday, with additional hours available during school breaks, holidays, and summer camp.
