Job summary

Northbrook Park District is seeking a Part-Time Program Site Director for the Northbrook Campus. The role oversees day-to-day program operations, supervises staff, and ensures safety and quality of activities for children in the Northbrook area.

The position requires a high school diploma, with two years of hands-on work with children. A college degree in education or recreation is desirable, and a valid Illinois driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is required (minimum 2 years).
• Hands-on youth program or camp experience preferred.
• College coursework in education, recreation, or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and plan daily activities for the program, including snacks, homework, games, crafts, and active or quiet time.
• Supervise children from arrival to dismissal and manage pick-up by authorized persons.
• Ensure safety and foster an inclusive, caring environment.
• Assist in developing program goals and coordinating implementation.
• Plan off-site activities for day-off programs and supervise staff in activities.
