Job summary

St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School in Oceanside, CA is seeking a qualified, experienced educator to supervise K-8 students in extended care after the regular school day.

This part-time role is 2:30 pm–5:45 pm on Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri and 1:45 pm–5:45 pm on Wed, with pay at $20.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will support a Christ-centered, safe after-school program, communicate with parents, assist with activities, check-in/out, and supervision, and follow safety policies in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Primary supervisor for K-8 students staying for extended care after the regular school day
• Prepare activities developmentally appropriate for elementary and middle school students
• Assist students individually or in small groups with lesson assignments
• Monitor students in a variety of settings
• Communicate with parents through daily drop-off and pick-up
• Maintain a safe environment for students
• Responsible for activities and preparations for the program
• Attend professional development sessions as requested by the principal
• Performs other duties assigned by the principal
