Job summary

Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, NJ is seeking an on-call Substitute ACE Group Facilitator to support afterschool care. You will supervise cohorts, uphold ACE safety procedures, assist instructors, manage transitions, and ensure a safe, engaging environment after school.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience with elementary/preschool children, and ability to work with Preschool through Grade 5. Hours 2:30–6:30 pm; pay $20/hour; per diem as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; coursework or degree in Education, Child Development, or related fields preferred.
• Prior experience working with elementary or preschool-aged children in camp, school, or childcare settings.
• Ability to step into different grade-level cohorts (Preschool through Grade 5) and communicate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visual and auditory supervision of students across campus spaces and enforce ACE safety procedures.
• Assist specialty instructors with classroom management, activity transitions, and instructional reinforcement as needed.
• Lead or support pre-planned activities, supervise snack time, and help with setting up and resetting spaces after the shift.
