The Channel Islands YMCA is seeking an Afterschool Enrichment Leader to plan, supervise, and implement childcare programs in accordance with California Expanded Learning Opportunities guidelines. You will supervise up to 20 children and provide a safe, engaging environment that supports HEPA standards and healthy activity.

This role requires a minimum 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and childcare experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 48 college units OR an Associate’s Degree OR paraeducator exam.
• 1 year of childcare experience.
• Ability to obtain Criminal Record Clearance.
• Negative TB test before first day.
• Certifications within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning, supervising, and implementing childcare programs.
• Supervise up to 20 children independently per CA guidelines.
• Provide quality care and supervision to children.
• Provide a safe environment for all children to thrive.
• Guide behaviors using positive methods and individual needs.
• Carry out activities and lesson plans.
• Ensure the program delivers HEPA standards.
• Set up and clean the program area after activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster connections with families.
• Participate in in-service trainings.
• Create welcoming, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children and families.
