Job summary

Rockport Elementary in Rockport, IN is seeking a Daycare Lead to manage Daycare Assistants, oversee operations, and provide care and supervision for children who attend the daycare program.

The position follows the school calendar with a pay rate of $18.00/hour for 7.75 hours per day, 7:00AM - 3:15PM. Requires First Aid/CPR certification and a High School Diploma; relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; preferred General Education Degree (GED)
• Two years of childcare experience preferred
• Must be certified annually in First Aid/CPR
• Willing to complete fingerprint check, TB testing and related training (First Aid/CPR)

Responsibilities

• Manages the daycare program outside school hours
• Oversees program staff and daily operations
• Manages evaluation and assessment procedures for the program
• Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and training of all staff
• Plans and implements enrichment opportunities for students
• Maintains a safe and healthy environment for students
• Develops long and short-range activities aligned with curriculum objectives
• Maintains daily communication with parents and aides
• Maintains confidentiality
• Reports any suspected abuse
• Meets all applicable licensing regulations
• Supervisor oversees afterschool center operations including staffing and safety
