Job summary

Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP) seeks passionate Activity Specialists in Dance for long-term teaching opportunities in after-school programs across New York City’s five boroughs. These on-site roles focus on arts integration and leading engaging, age-appropriate activities.

We value experience with youth, arts instruction, and collaborative teamwork. Successful candidates will contribute to a safe, inclusive, and creative environment for students during after-school and summer

Qualifications

2 years of experience working with youth in a classroom or group setting.
Experience successfully instructing youth in the arts.
College degree in the Arts or Education, or equivalent experience.
Familiarity working with Students with Disabilities and English Language Learners.
Passion for inclusion and advocacy in the arts.
Enjoy working with youth in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Lead instructors in LEAP after school programs across NYC.
Prepare and develop age- and skill-appropriate activities (dance, arts, STEM) integrating arts and academics.
Ensure safety and policy compliance for all participants.
Attend staff meetings, trainings, and events to enhance knowledge and skills.
