YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina in Shallotte, NC is seeking an After-school Counselor to provide direction for the program, supervise children, and implement curriculum in a part-time role.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years of age, and CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days of hire. Prior experience with children and diverse populations is preferred.

AFTERSCHOOL COUNSELOR
Do you like to encourage school-aged children and help them develop? Are you passionate about getting youth active and implementing games and activities that stimulate the mind and body? If so, this might be the perfect role for you!
Provides direction for the program, classroom, and implements program curriculum. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
Part-time non-exempt (hourly), available hours are Monday through Friday from as early as 2pm to as late as 6pm and as needed for Teacher Workdays and Holidays. May also provide support in other areas as assigned.
$13.72 - $15.12/hour upon completion of training and relevant experience
