Job description

St Catherine Of Siena Preschool in Horsham, PA (Montgomery County) is seeking an After-School CARES Teacher.

Job Detail

The primary purpose of the After-School CARES Teacher is to supervise, interact, and engage with three and four-year-old students in a classroom and playground setting.

Working hours are Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 6 PM with the potential for additional hours.

Duties Include:

• Supervise the preschool students at all times to ensure safety and healthy interaction with other students.
• Organize and lead daily activities for preschool students.
• Assist the preschool students with daily activities such as arts and crafts, indoor learning centers, and afternoon snack.
• Supervise the preschool students during gross motor activities: playing on playground equipment, riding bicycles, and taking walks as a group.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a child-care facility or preschool.
• Copies of updated clearances (FBI fingerprint, Child Abuse, and Criminal Background) will be required upon hiring.
• CPR / AED certification (preferred).
• If the position is offered, the candidate will be required to complete the “Protecting God’s Students” training through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia within one month of hire.

The hours for this position vary from 15 to 18 hours per week. This position is a part-time position and is not a benefits-eligible position.
