Happy Days Preschool & Summer Camp of Brick seeks an energetic Aftercare Teacher for Monday–Friday, 2:00–6:00 PM. This part-time role focuses on safety, planned activities, and supporting young learners after school.

You’ll supervise children, lead arts and crafts, provide homework help, and communicate with families. A positive, patient demeanor and basic First Aid/CPR are valued as you foster a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College coursework in education or child development is a plus.
• Prior experience with children (aftercare, camp, or classroom) preferred.
• First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being after school.
• Plan and engage children in arts & crafts, games, outdoor play, and activities.
• Provide homework help and encourage academic growth.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for every child.
• Share updates with families about their child’s day and achievements.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff for a consistent aftercare experience.
