Job summary

Beit Rabban Day School in New York, NY, is seeking an Aftercare Instructor for its afterschool program. The role involves leading and supporting activities for elementary students in a fun, structured, and inclusive environment.

The position requires energy, reliability, and strong classroom management. Hours are Tue and Thu, 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM, with pay of $25/hour for assisting and $30/hour for leading activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational settings such as afterschool, camp, childcare, coaching, or similar.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and engage elementary-aged students.
• Reliable and able to commit to the program schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and lead engaging, age-appropriate aftercare activities.
• Supervise students and maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment.
• Support students during games, projects, enrichment activities, and structured programming.
• Help transitions between activities and dismissal.
• Implement activities with creativity and enthusiasm.
• Collaborate with instructors and staff to manage student progress and behavior expectations.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding student and program matters.
• Utilize digital platforms to perform attendance and incident reports.
