Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is seeking an Academic Coordinator to deliver after-school academic support aligned with the day school program in Milwaukee. This seasonal role caps weekly hours at six and runs through the academic year (Sept–May).

You will liaise with school staff, analyze student data, organize materials, and participate in meetings to drive program outcomes. Must hold WI teaching credentials and enjoy working with youth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
• Wisconsin Teaching Certificate required.
• Experience as a teacher or school support teacher in the district.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between day school and the Club to ensure a seamless learning day and alignment of curricula.
• Identify and recruit students with academic needs for BGCGM and CLC programs.
• Develop a CLC program plan with learning curricula for academic enrichment.
• Collect, analyze, and evaluate student data to assess program effectiveness.
• Attend SST/LT/BIT meetings and represent BGCGM for academic programming decisions.
• Communicate weekly with classroom teachers about student progress and needs.
• Review attendance and contact families as needed for absences.
• Organize instructional materials and support staff/volunteers with program delivery.
• Oversee routine assessments, surveys, and progress data.
• Support professional development and trainings for staff/volunteers.
