Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee seek an Academic Coordinator for Maple Tree, a seasonal/temporary program in Milwaukee, WI. This role supports afterschool academics, up to 6 hours per week, aligned with the day school program.

You will liaise with the day school, recruit students, help develop curriculum, analyze data, and participate in SST/ LT/ BIT meetings. Strong communication and organizational skills and a Wisconsin teaching credential are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Wisconsin Teaching Certificate required.
• Experience as a teacher or school support teacher in the district.
• Ability to work with youth and implement small-group activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid WI driver’s license and insurance requirements.
• Proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the day school and the Club to align curricula.
• Identify and recruit students with academic needs for BGCGM/CLC programs.
• Develop and implement a CLC Program Plan for academic enrichment.
• Collect and analyze student data to measure program effectiveness.
• Attend SST, LT, BIT and other meetings as BGCGM representative.
• Communicate weekly with classroom teachers about student progress.
• Provide instructional materials and staff training support.
