Job summary

StarChild Academy, part of the Endeavor Schools family, is seeking a Support Childcare Teacher for afternoons on a part-time basis. You will collaborate with teachers to create a positive, engaging learning environment and support children's development.

This role emphasizes safety, growth monitoring, and building a harmonious classroom. Even if you are new to schools, your enthusiasm for working with children and willingness to learn can qualify you.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate’s degree in early childhood development (CDA certified preferred but not required).
• 6 months prior experience in a certified child development center (1 year preferred).
• Prior experience with the assigned age group.
• Ability to use standard office equipment (laptop, smartphone).
• Minimum state standards/accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Help lead innovative learning activities that promote children’s development and growth.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Monitor children’s progress and development.
• Create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming to each day.

Are You Qualified?
