Job Summary
The Afternoon Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership for manufacturing personnel with respect to production volume, cost and quality of production to meet production schedules and delivery dates.
Major Responsibilities
• Create and maintain organizational values and norms promoting a working environment that people want to be a part of while achieving SRC Inc.’s goals and objectives.
• Lead efforts to provide the safest and cleanest manufacturing facility in the industry while promoting employee safety in the production processes and activities.
• Establish measurables for manufacturing performance in the areas of safety, housekeeping, production, productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Clearly communicate the goals and objectives in these areas. Drive the organization to achieve the goals and objectives.
• Ensure the customer receives quality products and services meeting or exceeding their expectations and solutions to their issues and concerns.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives within all assigned areas of operation.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate the efficient utilization of equipment and facilities.
• Communicate policy and company guidelines to all plant personnel and enforce the adherence to these guidelines.
• Actively pursue and implement means to improve plant efficiencies and productivity.
• Establish plant operational procedures that provide an atmosphere where people enjoy working for the Company and are challenged by their individual job assignments.
• Maintain and develop key metrics to drive continuous improvement.
