Job summary

St. Andrew's Parks & Playground Commission is seeking dependable afternoon drivers to transport children from local schools to our After School Program on a part-time seasonal basis. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, aligning with the Charleston County School District calendar.

Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $18.50 per hour, based on experience. Responsibilities include safely transporting children in a 14-passenger mini-bus or 7-passenger van, conducting pre- and post-trip

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old to drive a 14-passenger bus.
• Must be at least 18 years old to drive a 7-passenger van.
• Must possess and maintain a driving record that meets insurance requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children in a 14-passenger mini-bus or 7-passenger van.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment for passengers.
• Follow traffic laws and agency safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and school personnel.
