Job summary

Sanford Community Center is seeking a responsible and reliable Part-Time Van Driver to transport kids to and from school in the Before and After School Program. The position offers a $15.00 per hour pay rate and a part-time schedule Mon–Fri mornings and afternoons.

Responsibilities include safely operating a 15-passenger van, following routes, inspecting the vehicle before and after trips, maintaining a clean vehicle, and promptly reporting any issues to staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Experience driving larger vehicles or passenger vans preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual and professional.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 15-passenger van.
• Follow designated routes and adhere to the trip schedule.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle.
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents immediately.
• Communicate effectively with staff and program coordinators.
