The Learning Experience in Ashburn, VA is seeking an Afternoon Preschool Teacher for a part-time role. You will provide classroom support during the afternoon and closing hours, engaging children in age-appropriate activities and helping with snacks and transitions.

Applicants should have prior professional childcare experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to meet Virginia licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous professional childcare, daycare, or preschool experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA preferred, but not required.
• Must meet applicable Virginia childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support during the afternoon and closing hours.
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning activities, art, music, and outdoor experiences.
• Support afternoon snacks, transitions, and end-of-day routines.
• Maintain attentive supervision and positive classroom management.
• Build warm, positive relationships with children and families.
• Assist with classroom organization and closing procedures.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and center leadership.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Follow applicable Virginia childcare licensing requirements.

Pay: Starting at $20 per hour (higher pay available based on experience and credentials)

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday | Approximately 3:00 PM–6:00/6:30 PM
