Job summary

Primrose School of Long Grove is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Support Teacher to assist in the afternoon, helping to prepare children to go home, escort them to their parents, and support classrooms as needed.

The role involves maintaining a clean, safe environment and supporting a range of activities while adhering to Primrose policies. It is an afternoon position at our Long Grove location, with opportunities for advancement within the franchise.

Qualifications

• Meets basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
• Experience as a teacher or assistant in licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Understands social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs for child-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Observes all rules and regulations for child safety and care.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages exploration.
• Provides clear expectations and positive reinforcement for children.
• Performs basic housekeeping and maintenance in classrooms and play areas.

• Supports the Director in other duties as needed.
