Job summary

Leading Edge Extended Learning in Sayreville, NJ is seeking dedicated individuals for PreK before- and after-care roles at PBP Cheesequake and PBP Selover. You’ll work with 3- and 4-year-olds in a warm, play-based setting to build social, emotional and school-readiness skills.

Hours include afternoons 1:25 pm–6:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional mornings and early dismissal days; up to ~30 hours per week based on enrollment and availability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Monday-Friday availability, with the ability to start at 1:25 pm.
• A genuine passion for working with preschool-aged children.
• Reliable transportation.
• Teaching Assistants: childcare or early childhood experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Leading Edge curriculum through age-appropriate, play-based activities.
• Support young children with routines, transitions, snack time and self-care.
• Foster social-emotional growth, early literacy, fine motor skills and positive behavior.
• Maintain a safe, clean and engaging classroom environment.
• Maintain program quality according to company and NJ state licensing standards.
• Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios at all times.
• Communicate warmly and professionally with families and school staff.
• Complete administrative tasks such as attendance and licensing paperwork.
• Lead Teachers also plan daily activities, guide Teaching Assistants and serve as a main point of contact for families.
