Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a caregiver to work in the Garland, Plano or Dallas areas. The role requires weekday availability from 1p–8p (or 4-hour shifts) to provide physical care and emotional support to clients who may need assistance due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.

Ideal candidates show dignity, patience, compassion, and respect while encouraging and remaining empathetic toward clients at all times. Certification is not required for employment.

Qualifications

• Social Security card and proof of eligibility to work (as required).
• Valid, current Texas driver’s license.
• Reliable, registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• At least 2 years verifiable caregiving experience (dementia exp preferred).

Responsibilities

• Home assistance – Light housekeeping, run errands or transport clients, accompany to appointments, assist with medications, prepare meals, personal care and helping clients stay in their home.
• Companionship – Engage clients with conversation and activities to provide comfort and support.
