Job summary

Caremate Wellness Solutions, LLC in Garland, TX is hiring a caregiver to provide personal and home-based support. You will assist with activities of daily living and follow an approved care plan to promote health and well-being for clients at their residence.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, reliable transportation, and adherence to safety standards while teaching families care techniques and participating in ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months or more of direct caregiving experience.
• Must be self-directed and service-oriented.
• Need good interpersonal skills, must be service-oriented, possess good bedside manner.
• Must have patience and compassion for elderly and/or disabled individuals.
• Experience working with individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease, or be willing to participate in training to provide service.
• Skilled in verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living per care plan (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, meal prep, mobility).
• Provide direct non-medical personal care following an approved plan of care.
• Perform safety and wellness observations each shift and report changes to the agency.
• Maintain a safe home environment; follow agency safety standards and prevent hazards.
• Teach families care transfer and repositioning techniques as needed.
• Participate in required agency training and education opportunities.
• Contribute to the agency's reputation by delivering value and taking ownership of care.
