Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring a Day Porter to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during business hours. This role focuses on high-traffic areas, responding to immediate cleaning needs, and ensuring restrooms, common spaces, and entryways remain presentable throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or porter experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas throughout the day.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Monitor restrooms and restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Clean spills, fingerprints, smudges, and debris as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners.
• Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, and railings.
• Set up or break down rooms for meetings or events as requested.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor.
• Follow established safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to staff and visitors.

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Shift: Monday – Friday - PART TIME: 4 X HOURS IN THE AFTERNOON AND 4 X HOURS IN THE EVENING
