The Position: Occupational Therapist / COTA – Part‑time at our Shelton and Southbury locations.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementation of appropriate treatment sessions.
• Developing and implementing goals and plans of care.
• Parent education and training.
• Timely completion of documentation and billing.
• Effective communication with patients, parents, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and creativity of session planning.
• Flexibility to adapt to different environments and settings.
• Attendance of department and OT staff meetings.
• Always ensuring child’s health and safety.
• Engaging in multi‑collaboration opportunities with other related services.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in an occupational therapy field with a pediatric clinic setting.
• Experience in fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, gross motor, activities of daily living, reflex integration, self‑help, self‑regulation, and cognitive development.
• Current CT Occupational Therapy State license.
• AOTA/NBCOT certification.
• Meeting all professional requirements and rules of professional conduct, including maintaining licensure and CEUs.
• Experience working specifically with children aged 2–9.
• Pediatric experience required (minimum 1 year).

Schedule & Pay

Schedule: 4‑hour shifts, day or night. Expected hours 4–12 per week, as needed. Location: Shelton, Southbury, or either. Pay: $30.00–$45.00 per hour.
