Job summary

A Place At Home Fairfield South is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support an client in the afternoons, offering companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and accompaniment on errands. The role focuses on maintaining a safe recovery environment and helping clients regain independence per the care plan.

You will drive the client, monitor health changes, assist with mobility, and coordinate with the care team to ensure continuity of care while upholding dignity and privacy at all

Qualifications

Experience with Alzheimer's and dementia care.
Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and TB test.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Successful completion of background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and reassurance.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
Drive the client to errands and appointments.
Monitor changes in health and report to supervisor.
Document care provided and coordinate with the care team.
Respect client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
