The Goddard School of Cypress, TX is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities for young children. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming classroom and partner with families to monitor progress.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma; CDA or Early Childhood Education training is a plus. This role offers a nurturing, team-focused environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Empathy and compassion for young children.
• Experience with young children in a licensed setting is preferred.
• Basic understanding of child development and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, inviting learning environment.
• Supervise children and provide individualized support to foster belonging.
• Communicate with families about child progress and activities.
• Adhere to health, safety guidelines and licensing regulations.
