Job summary

Volvo Group in the United States seeks an Aftermarket Engine Product Manager to shape the aftermarket engine parts portfolio across the truck lifecycle, partnering with Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics, Parts Sales, Marketing and Commercial Aftermarket teams.

You will develop multi-year product strategies, own P&L, and drive profitable sales growth while delivering strong customer value and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in aftermarket product management, parts sales, purchasing, marketing, or business development.
  • Strong data analysis and financial management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking and long-term planning

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term product strategies for assigned product categories.
  • Create and maintain multi-year lifecycle strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and customer value.
  • Identify portfolio gaps and lead new product introductions, including supplier sourcing support, pricing strategy, positioning, and launch execution.
  • Own product category P&L performance and monitor revenue, profitability, and market performance.
  • Develop annual business plans and marketing plans for assigned product categories.
  • Partner with Parts Sales to establish regional and dealer-level sales objectives.
  • Create comprehensive annual promotion plans for dealers and customers to drive sales growth.
  • Provide product expertise through training, webinars, dealer communications, and internal support.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, and suppliers to ensure portfolio success.
  • Support the team with aftermarket needs in key vehicle projects and product requests, as required.
  • Manage and support supplier relationships.
  • Track and report product line revenue, profitability, and performance trends.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create collateral for e-commerce, webinars, social media, and dealer bulletins.
  • Work directly with Pricing and Sales teams to ensure pricing strategies remain aligned with market conditions.

The Aftermarket Engine Product Manager develops and manages the aftermarket engine parts portfolio across the full truck lifecycle, including New Genuine, Remanufactured, Renovated, and All Makes engine products. This role is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, maximizing product line performance, and ensuring a competitive parts offering that delivers strong customer value. The Engine Product Manager partners closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics, Parts Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Aftermarket teams to develop and execute multi-year product strategies that support business growth and lifecycle objectives.

Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel required to support dealers, suppliers, training, customer visits, and industry events.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $128,300 - $158,400 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
