Job Summary:

Leading company specializing in web handling equipment and solutions within the manufacturing industry is seeking a Senior Level Automation Engineer based in the greater Pawcatuck, CT area. This role involves developing software for drives and control systems, including PLC programming, HMI systems, AC/DC drives configuration, and network design. The ideal candidate will have web handling experience and a mechanical background.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create PLC programs using ladder logic, function block diagrams, flowcharts, etc., for web converting equipment and related functions.
  2. Design and develop HMI applications.
  3. Design and review PLC network architecture.
  4. Configure AC/DC drives.
  5. Integrate legacy drives, controls, and equipment.
  6. Support the creation of technical documentation and information.
  7. Conduct in-house testing of software and systems.
  8. Provide on-site assistance during system start-up and commissioning.
  9. Offer remote and on-site customer support.
  10. Assist sales with pre-study analysis and reports.
  11. Interact with customers as required.
  12. Collaborate with team members to complete projects and assignments.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
