Job summary

Acquire4Hire is seeking an aftercare assistant for a part-time role at our preschool in Asheville, NC. This position is ideal for students and aspiring educators who want to gain hands-on experience and contribute to a joyful learning environment.

You’ll work a few afternoons per week, 10am-5pm or 2-5pm, with flexibility around school schedules. Responsibilities include building safe relationships, serving snacks, guiding project-based activities, and supporting children aged 2 to 5 while

Qualifications

• Background Check required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Positive role model and attitude.
• Willingness to learn and work as a team.
• Within the first year: Health and Safety Training.
• Within the first year: Trauma-informed Training.

Responsibilities

• Creating relationships with students that are safe, supportive, and responsive.
• Serve Snacks and talk about student's day.
• Project-based Learning- Manage projects and goals with students.
• Work with 2 years-5-year-olds to find optimal and personalized activities depending on need.
• Have fun, create, share and be a role model to children from all backgrounds.
• Reliable transportation preferred.

About This Role

If you are looking for a part-time or possibly a future full-time job or apprenticeship that will inspire and uplift, look no further! We are an innovative preschool looking for our aftercare staff for the school year. The job is multifaceted and perfect for students and budding educators.

Our small school is a special place full of joy and learning. If you love kids and want to explore a career in Early Learning this is a great way to get your foot in the door.

The position could look a few different ways. We need a couple of days a week 10am-5pm and 2-5pm (aftercare) some days.

Willing to work with school schedules for the right folks.

What You'll Do
