Primer is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Aftercare Program Guide to manage and engage students during the after school program.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children between kindergarten to 8th grade, fostering a safe and fun environment, and contributing positively to the school community.

Part-time role with schedule Monday through Friday, 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM, during the school year; Compensation: $26.67 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Communicates clearly and professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Demonstrates responsibility, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• Able to manage time and resources to create a smooth and enjoyable aftercare experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage all students enrolled in the Aftercare program.
• Ensure student safety at all times by knowing the location of all students and following authorized pick-up protocols.
• Implement structured daily programming aligned to the aftercare schedule.
• Opening Circle: snack time and daily connection.
• Physical Activity: staff-led activities that support healthy movement and teamwork.
• Academics: student-choice academic time (e.g., educational boardgames, reading, book clubs).
• Skill-Building Activities: games and challenges that promote real-life skills.
• Adapt activities to meet the needs of your group and the space available.
• Build positive relationships and maintain respectful communication with students, families, and school staff.
