Salem Montessori School is hiring a Part-time Aftercare Elementary Assistant to support students in the after-school period. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment and guide children through play, projects, and homework with a Montessori approach.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a HS diploma, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and experience with children. Work days are Monday through Friday, 15–20 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Ages 18 or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to be certified.
• Experience with children (preferred).

• Support elementary students with outdoor play, creative projects, and homework assistance.

Your Role as an Aftercare Elementary Assistant

As our Aftercare Elementary Assistant, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can relax, connect, and continue learning through meaningful activities at the end of the school day. Working as part of our collaborative team, you will support elementary students through outdoor play, creative projects, homework assistance, and community-building experiences while fostering independence, responsibility, and respect. If you enjoy working with children, value teamwork, and are passionate about creating positive experiences that reflect Montessori principles, we would love to welcome you to our community.
