Job summary

Goodwill Legacy Group is seeking a Youth Services Coach for a part-time after-school program at a Peoria middle school. You will support ages 10-14 in developing social-emotional skills and coping strategies, with opportunities to contribute to program development and trauma-informed education for families and community partners.

The role emphasizes autonomous decision-making, ethical judgment, and ensuring participant safety within a wrap-around approach aligned with Goodwill’s Mission Coach

Qualifications

• NONE degree or credential required; we value capability and willingness to learn.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in youth social-emotional development and de-escalation preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the best interest of youth.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with youth to build trust and teach social-emotional skills.
• Manage a small caseload and provide one-on-one support as needed.
• Respond to crises using trauma-informed approaches rather than restraints.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to support youth across environments.
• Create and monitor behavior support plans and adjust interventions as needed.
• Collect and report program data to ensure compliance and improvement.
